Casey Weitzman, M.A., M.F.T.
is a marriage family therapist and has been licensed for fifteen years. She has worked in the fields of gender identity and sexual orientation issues for many years. She is a member of The Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association. She counsels individuals who are exploring gender identity and/or sexual orientation issues and using a team approach, is qualified to write the necessary letters needed for hormone therapy and gender-confirmation surgery. She is the co-founder of Gender Wellness of Los Angeles and works closely with the physicians and surgeons that specialize in working with the GLBT community. In addition, she has provided training on transgender topics and has appeared on the Tyra Banks show as well as other news programs.
Tom Cotsen, M.D.
is a psychiatrist skilled in the psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatment of adults with anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. He served as a faculty member at Cedars Sinai Medical Center after completing national medical boards and graduating with distinction from residency in psychiatry. He has pursued additional training in psychotherapy at the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and in psychopharmacology at UCLA, and has over ten years experience working with a diverse population that has included many GLBT patients. He has nurtured many transgendered people through their transition process and is an active member of the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association and the American Psychiatric Association.

Hormone Consultant
Richard Horowitz, M.D., F.A.C.P.
is a doctor of internal medicine with many years of experience
in the hormonal treatment of FTM and MTF transgendered people. He
trained in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York,
where he served as chief resident. Afterward, he completed fellowships
in reproductive immunology and nephrology and has served on the
executive committees of several major hospitals in Los Angeles.
Currently he is a clinical faculty member at Cedars-Sinai Medical
Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UCLA David
Geffen School of Medicine. He maintains an active private practice
and is a member of the Harry Benjamin Gender Dysphoria Association
as well as the American College of Physicians.
Surgical Consultant
Gary Alter, M.D.
is one of the few physicians in the world who is both a plastic
surgeon and a urologist. Therefore, he is uniquely well qualified
to provide the full range of surgical procedures for FTM and MTF
transgendered people, including genital reconstruction, facial feminization,
breast augmentation, and chest reconstruction. He trained in urology
at Baylor College of Medicine and then in plastic/reconstructive
surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Afterward he completed fellowship in
reconstructive genital surgery at the Eastern Virginia Graduate
School of Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery
at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and a member the HBIGDA
as well as the American Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
