Gender Wellness of Los Angeles (GWLA) provides counseling for transgender people and their families coping with transsexualism, crossdressing, and/or sexual orientation issues.
We offer special sensitivity and awareness to transgender people with respect to:
- Exploration of Gender Identity
- Am I a crossdresser?
- Am I Transgender or somewhere in between?
- Depression and anxiety issues
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Sexual orientation issues
- What does transitioning entail?
- How do I come out to partner, friends, workplace?
- Who are the experts and what is WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Health) and the standards of care?
- Letters needed for HRT and SRS (GWLA provides these letters)
- Referrals to experts in the fields of electrolysis, voice coaching, hair stylists, make-up artists, photographers, shoppes, community resources and events.
